Thats cool. I was born and raised in Lancaster/Palmdale area.
Havent been out there in at least 10 years.
We used to go camping/fishing all the time man... Those mountains you see to the north and south both have great fishing. We used to drive up to jackson lake and hike up more where nobody went for the wild brown trout. They can hear you from 30 feet away I swear...
Also tehachapi area (spelling?) has good streams for fly fishing.
If you are up for a drive you can head to the Kern river. Fully stocked with trout and a hatchery nearby to tour. Upper kern river is much better fishing than lower kern. Big lake there called lake Isabella if I remember right.
You are smack in the middle of the antelope valley. Its within driving distance of TONS of great fishing dude.
