great work legalizitgirl! you rock!! :)
btw, i'm not sure if you turned off your rep on purpose or it reset itself but you can turn it back on by going to "User CP" at the top of screen and click Edit Option on the left and then click the show your rep level box. that box unclicks itself sometimes and you get that black box instead of showing you on the distinguished road that you are one.

Yeah Jill you rock hard for cannabis.
I would like to see you in action. You sound like your really awsome. I want to know more about your efforts. Can we chat sometime in the future?
Come meet me on Cannabis - The Greatest Plant On Earth - A place for activists to organize

Hello Jill I would like to introduce you to a new way to lobby congress, and spread the word about cannabis while you are collecting ballot signatures.
260,000 people is alot of people to collect signatures from. If we could get someone to sponsor each signature with just a dollar that would certainly motivate people to do it.
If people are willing to pay to support legalization, offer them another service. You are already signing up people to vote, thats a big plus.
How about letting them know what local congress stance is on cannabis. Better yet, let congress know what the people's stance on cannabis. If they want to voice their opinion to congress offer them some ways to do it.
Video - If I could find someone to do this we could make some bad ass activist videos. Take that action to the street, talk to everybody you greet.
You could take some pretty cool shots of activists informing people about cannabis. I've got some really funny scenerios thought out for some activist plots. . Hold on I'm thinking of one right now.
Postcards - There are alot of people out there are willing to sign a petition. How many are willing to take the next step and pay to tell them in another way. Featuring Beautiful Buds Series of Postcards - containing powerful messages from the people to let congress know to Let This Plant Grow.
For 2 Dollars I'll send this postcard off to your congressman to let him know, to Let This Plant Grow. Then lookup their congressman using a zipcode finder and stamp and send it in for them. Postcard stamps are cheap, and 2 dollars is nice for the service your offering people.
Activist Question
What do you say when you greet people about cannabis?

tofit-- It would have been AMAZING to have had a wealthy benefactor pay for signature gatherers for I-1068! If we'd had that kind of backing, I can guarantee we would have already collected enough for it to be on our November ballot (and would probably have surpassed the needed quantity two-fold!).
My first question is usually: "Are you registered to vote in Washington state?"
I carry a sign that breaks the ice really well, and doesn't leave any questions about what I'm asking them to support.
I find this method to be very effective, and I don't have to approach people--they approach me. I enjoy passively gathering signatures, because it sucks to be "that person" who irritates passersby. :)
I'll look you up on your site to talk with you more. :)
