hmmm.... I don't see why intentionally huffing is different from accidentally huffing. lets not hide the answer behind this false reasoning.

but I do agree that it is nothing serious. I will be back later with the chemical equation of the combustion of butane. It better be an easy equation.

I did smoke out of a bong filled with water/ice, when i just started hitting the nothin smelled wrong but as i got more smacked i started to smell the gas and i could feel it in my lung, pretty nasty

Accidental huffing will only lead to a minuscule amount of butane actually being inhaled. If you do it purposely you will most likely inhale a higher volume of butane. This is why it's not an issue if you inhale it accidentally, the amount is so small that it will not have any detrimental effect. It's okay not because it's an accident, it's okay because by it being accidental the amount is lower.

Just chill dude, you were able to feel the butane in your lungs? Sure thing. You didn't notice it before you got smacked because it wasn't there... you started to smell and feel it because you were stoned and thinking about it. Like a placebo, if you think the sugar pill will heal you... sometimes it does.

If you're really that worried get yourself a proper lighter. The ones you probably get in Wal-mart (or whatever you americans have) probably arn't the best. Get one from a proper tobacconist.

Or if you want to be really frightened just use a match, apparantly it makes the weed taste better anyway in a bong.
