No experience with super silver. If you're going to use HPS on the widow, don't use it during flower or if you do keep it further away, lest you get light bleaching. I've seen some WW do pretty well but the majority seem to get burned very easily by light.

Who are the WW seeds from, what breeder? I had a great run of WW under 400w HPS, seeds were from Greenhouse. No light bleaching issues at all with em'. Here's a pic of them
As for the super silver, indoors be ready for a long long flowering time. If you are going to grow it out indoors, i would probably suggest growing a couple of females in veg, and clone them and flower the clones rather than the original. It'll help keep your height in check starting with the smaller plants.

Greenhouse seeds WW, just like yours. Same growth patterns, even!

That just goes to show you that even though we think what we get from breeders is solid and true, sometimes that's not how it works out. You would think with all the years that GHS has put out WW that it would be as solid as ever. I actually found my run of it (5 pack) to be one of the easier to grow. I do know it didn't like temps to go above 85 at all. I suppose the old saying that you learn something new everyday still applies:D

My ww are Dutch Passion.. Since you had no problem with them under a 400 do you guys think i could put them under my 1000w MH for vegn and HP for flowern? My temp is fairly cool in my grow area esp now with my new setup and the actual location of my are is a very cool and dry place..
Hey irydyum i just placed the order for my super silver. Do you think i should cancel and go to a diff strain?

I wasn't trying to steer you away from the sativas. Some people swear by them as the best of the best. You just need to know what you are getting into. Don't plant a HAZE genetic and expect it to look like a stout bush, expect something much taller and lankier. More on the christmas tree end of things.
I prefer to work with indica dominant hybrids because of the shorter flowering time, and generally shorter stature. I'm 100% indoor though, if I had the outdoor resources and space, I would definitely try out some sativas.
I was just trying to say that if you go the sativa route indoors you would probably have better luck maintaining a somewhat organized canopy flowering 16" clones rather than 3 footers from seed. Plant height when you trigger flowering is a crapshoot at best until you have grown a particular genetic multiple times. Also, plants from seed generally grow larger than clones and will likely stretch more in flower as well. Sativas are notorious for tripling in size once you trigger them, and some varietys can need up to 16 weeks indoors to ripen properly. Breeders often mislead us with the "minimum" amount of flower time for the herb to be "harvestable". Often, it will take a week or two longer for most of us to be satisfied. Even longer in sativas.
Whatever you choose make sure your purchase reflects your needs and expectations:thumbsup:

right now I have 4 white widows on a 4x4 tray under 2- 1000 w hps lights and I have the lights around 18 inches from the canopy and they couldn't be growing any better for me...I am actually thoroughly impressed :) (side note: I have completely removed all of the heat off my lights and I could drop them right down on top of my plants if I wanted to) I haven't seen any bleaching problems, hopefully they continue as they have ;)

I have seen a grow in high times of WW under a bunch of 1000 watt lights.
What is light bleaching?
Does anyone have a picture of it?
co2 is only worth your time if everything is in check
edit: never mind I googled it. That sucks. Does that come from heat or too much light?

ill post a pic of mine tomorrow...they are sleeping right now...I also run co2...I notice bigger and fuller buds when it is on and rocking. I keep my rooms around 85-90 degrees with the co2 at 1200-1500 ppm and lots of air mixing as well as ALOT of fresh air intake as well as exhaust. My burner runs all day and the only down fall to my set up is having to refill my tank every 3-4 days :)

Thats intense, you do not think it would be better to have a co2 controller to turn the exhaust on and off?
