So the prices have dropped and it will get worse before it gets better. As the big warehouse grows start coming down more and more you will see the price per pound drop. But I believe this will correct itself within a year or so. Many many people have gotten into growing or started dispensaries with expectations of huge profit margins. Once they figure out their overhead and find they can only get half of what they thought per pound (and that's if they are able to harvest a quality product). But those of us that have been doing this awhile know there will be some slim times coming up but we will weather it because this is what we do, what we have always done. But for those that got into it to get rich quick I think many will fall by the wayside and run for the next "get rich" scheme, once they find the margins are not that big.
YEP! just keep your eye on monopolies which im sure are already forming (from cali id suspect). they will drive prices up and care less about quality.
everything will fix itself in time as long as gov regulation doesnt have too much influence.

Can you copyright a naturally occurring molecule?
i believe that the US. health dept. already has copyrights on compounds in thc. supposedly they have cures for various illnesses but we dont use it, however if they decide to they already have the rights to it.

:smokin:Before Dispensaries came around, who risked everything they had to support the communities, and grow so people could have herb for years and years. I don't know about you, but I been looking over my shoulder for the Popo for 40 years of providing for the community. Come on folks above- boarders or undergrounders are not the enemy, the Ignorance that runs amok in the government and our local communities:rasta: is the enemy!!! We must all unite to change the brainwashing of " Reefer Madness", and restore sanity! Thanks for listening to my rant.....MoMo

So thats why you charge $60 an eighth. So you have more money to give back to the community? The ganja slangers on the block only charging $40 an eighth. Thats what i call givin back
Most of the dispensaries where i live are owned by people not even from my community. They setup shop in mountains so they can charge high prices to the patient, and lowball the growers. Nothing is going back to the community. Most of the dispensaries ive seen are just greedy middlemen.
ps. CCF is cool, i think you guys are one of the few quality erb shops in CO.

agreed. this biggest problem right now is growers not having a sales tax license and not paying their taxes. Yeah, taxes suck, but it also makes it more legit and professional. we grow about 70%-90% (depending on where we are in our cycle) so when vendors come in we are extremely picky. It has to look good, smell good and taste good-even then, it's our customers that decide if we keep it. If we don't know you or the strand but like it, then we only buy an ounce and if our customer base likes it we will buy more. I have about 10 patients that have tried growing for themselves-not one produced a first crop that I would ever, ever buy. It's a learning process-so these people that quit their job and jump into growing are going to be dissapointed. You are going to need quite a few crops under your belt before you can really dial it in.
