yes i did trim it a bit, thats why it isnt as bushy as yours probly is. i pinched the mother twice which is why it has 5 heads, and then took the 7 clones off her which are the other 7 in the pic with the mother. then when i switched them i trimed a few lower leaves so that smaller leaves would get more light. i shouldnt have trimed the clones at all but was just experimenting with different sizes to see what did what.
What are the pro's/con's of trimming your plant? I mean shoot if it's not detrimental I wanna do that to my plants as it's so goddamn bushy I can't really move around in there to water em. :hippy:
aqua, the pros and cons to trimming lager fans on bushy ass plants like ours, is that smaller leaves (where flowers) get more light. i like to keep my light close to the plants so that you get the most out of the light, but in my case with a bushy ass plant, is that it doesnt grow TALL, just widens like a bush. if you keep the light far away it will help make the nodes stretch out, but buds will be scarce, because the plants has to strech to search for light, and the light isnt being used the most efficient way it can. if you look at my pic where all the clones are surrounding the mother you can tell that i left the clones far away from the light and they streched to much and thats why the nodes are far apart and they are tall and not bushy. thats also why they dont have long conecting buds like the mother and just single buds. if you leave the bushy plants un trimmed your plant will grow the greatest way it can becuase theres more leafs to collect light but it has to have all the light it can get(im only using a 400W), at the same time if they are just blocking light it will not bud to its full potential due to lack of light. hope that answers it

This was cut off the bottom of one of the clones on week 4 in. way to early i know but wanted a sample taste before major harvest, i only took off one lil node with two lil nugs! mmm mmm tasty! cant wait to taste the real crop!

I wouldn't recommend cutting fan leaves off, they have a lot of stored energy and in most cases when they are cut off, you will have smaller buds. Some strains do perform better with a little trimming, but not most.
Next time try leaving the leaves on one plant, maybe tie them back and out of the way of bud sites but leave them intact. See if your results differ...

bigtops- thank you! im gonna not cut any off the next set. just experimenting and trying to find out what works the best for my stran still, but i know leaving all leafs intact will give me much "fuller" buds after now seeing how they reacted to being trimed. the only reason i tried it was to see if hormones would instead go to say the "tops" giving me 5 huge top nugs on the mother(and it kinda did). if i leave all the leafs and pinch twice like i did the mother and have 5 heads again, this time it should fill the stock up evenly all the way with buds!
I'd say if you pinch off anything, it should be the lower bud sites that don't get much light and produce 'popcorn'. But to each there own, some like doing things the 'natural' way, others (like myself :D) abuse their plants, trying to get better results.
