I heard through the grape-vine that a lot of dispensaries in those old houses are zoned R4 and are getting calls that they failed and have to find a new place (ouch!). the other reason others are failing are incomplete applications or false/wrong information.
**edit**
I just scrolled downt he forums list and was surprised i didn't see The Denver Releaf Center post-they are one of the ones that failed. That I heard through word of mouth, so it's entirely possible not.
Wait, so dispensaries can't be in a Residential zone? I don't know the zoning requirements... I just thought they had to have 1000' from each other and from schools, daycares, etc.
So, is it the case that dispensaries can't be in residential zones either? They must only be allowed in commercial/industrial zoned areas?
As far as I can see ReLeaf is still going at it! They've been updating their Twitter at least through yesterday. I don't see why they would be closed... although there is probably a school nearby. But these guys have been around for awhile and I'm sure they got grandfathered in last December when they allowed some dispensaries to slide...

Glad to hear that about them-they're nice people :)
yes...and you are not getting grandfathered in on residential zoning either. you HAVE to be zoned commercial or industrial and mixed use, which I believe is B2 has to meet certain requirements. But if you are zoned R# than you're done-you're not even getting grandfathered in. These dispensaries should know ahead of time anyway-as their building zoning # is on their right of use permit.

You can give somebody rep points and leave a message that way. That's the only way I know how to do it. ;)
