with that big ass pot i wouldnt let it run-off for a while. your going to get some wonky ph readings. check out my mothers, they are in half gallon pots! but of course if they went into flowering then a transplant is needed.

Alright first off thanks for the support guys haha. Anyways heres my justification for doing things this way... The plant is over a month and a half old for 1. for 2, its just a bushy ass plant, it looks small but theres alot jammed in there, i have it tied down like 5-6 times. And 3, I watched the second video of the See More Buds series where they have the 6 gardeners and shit, seems pretty legit. The guy plants a clone with baby ass roots into a 3 gallon and does basically what i did and said that you want to saturate the soil to give the roots a reason to go to the bottom, if your just doing a couple cups a day then they wouldnt go down very far. It seems a little ridiculous but this guy got some results so hopefully this works and if not then hopefully we still have something to work with haha. Anyways thanks for the help guys, ill keep you updated
o and btw i do infact have a moisture/ph meter comin in the mail, should be here in the next few days i hope :wtf:
Damn, 1.5 months! How tall is that plant?
My plants are also 1.5 months and they're like 2-3 ft tall and growing beautiful buds.
I would say start over and get an HID light. You can have another clone that size in about 1 week and then you'll eliminate these problems. You'd actually be further along in a few weeks.
yea im kinda disappointed as well but im learnin slowly haha. The plant with everything tied down is like 6 inches or so tall with everything tied down. I'll probably take a clone from this guy in a little bit and then we'll push forward. Anyways i got my moisture meter in the mail so we'll see how that helps in the fext few days. And again thanks for all your help guys
Yeah, it'll be good experience for sure!
The growth rate just seems really slow for it to be worth your time and effort. I'm not a fan of fluorescents/CFLs really, but I guess they do have their place. Is an HID light totally out of the question for you right now? Even if you could get like a 250 or 400W, I think you'd be astonished at the difference in growth rate.
I havent really looked to much into them....could you give me some insight as to how much they are and how the set up process goes?? And i think the growth process has been slacking cuz i didnt really have a good watering schedule for them which is why i think i lost the previous one and this one got like a stunted growth or something.
thanks a bunch!
Sure, check out some good hydroponic/garden centers online. There are several. I like HTG Supply. Check them out... just google and you'll find them.
HTG has a 250W or a 400W for about $120. That's a pretty good deal. With a 250W light you could probably yield 3-4oz if you got your watering down ;) And it will take you less time than CFLs and probably be higher quality. You can even get a 175W if that's too much for you, but I think it's better to go bigger if you can... you may want to expand in the future.
Do you know about lighting at all? Check some of the FAQs on here. Most use either High-pressure sodium (HPS) or Metal Halide (MH) HID lighting. MH is good for veg, whereas HPS is better for flowering. I've seen great success for people who use HPS all the way through! So, either get an HPS or get an HPS/MH convertible ballast (which is $50 more and you'll also need a second bulb).
With an HID you'll get more heat since you'll be running more wattage... so you'll also have to think about ventilation and cooling. Just a strong fan blowing between the lights and the plants would probably do it when you're talking a 250W.
Good luck! Read the lighting FAQs. You know if you have the scratch you could just go pick up an HPS and put that over your existing plant and watch things pick up.
Also, as far as watering goes throw the schedules out the window! The plants water needs are quickly changing as it grows so as soon as one watering schedule seems routine... the plant has grown enough to require more. The best thing you can do it use your moisture meter and learn how a dry/moist/wet pot feels. It is going to be difficult to keep ideal waterings until the plant grows into that pot.... which may be awhile unless you upgrade to the HIDs.
Yea ive mostly just researched the CFL route cuz i'm on a budget but ill definately be putting this moisture meter to work. Ill keep posting updates as they come, and who knows maybe ill come out on top
And again thanks for the help :rastasmoke:
Well, alot has happened since the transplant...alot of good things that is  The whole plant looks healthier, its muchh bigger, and theres new growth everywhereeee So check out the progress...

And then in the next pictures you might just notice my brand spankin new grow box :D
They had a bomb sale at home depot for rubbermaids for like 4 bucks a piece so i grabbed two 18 gal's and some more CFL's for under 10 bucks I then purchased a 120 mm fan for another ten but this thing is sickkk. So here are some pictures of the new set up, we call it the hulk, im sure you can figure out why

So i'd say overall things are looking spectacularrrr. I was pondering on upping the nutes for the next watering, up to a half a tsp. Would that be cool or should i wait?, I'm not seeing any nute burn and it will probably be atleast a week in between waterings if not more(i can now tell with my fancy new 6 dollar moisture/ph meter :D).
Anywayssss let me hear your thoughts and opinions, im all ears
the thumbnails suck so here's bigger ones, in the same order:thumbsup:
