Neem oil actually worked for me but it's messy, you better get the ratio right it does mess with the PH. Then I went to no pest strips. They ain't cheap but work great. One for every 2 or 3 plants for max effectiveness I found.
I just remembered I've got some of the solid yellow no pest things that give off a vapor, I use pieces by my snake cages to keep away snake mites and they work freakin awesome, like a 1"x1" piece will clear a couple sq feet. I think they're under $10 from Walmart. Wish I could remember the name...

Makes me want to load up one of those 1"x1"x1" bowls from my adolescence, so that everybody gets 1/4 high and 3/4 headache from the uber-schwag I was smoking at the time (about 1972).
