regulation is key. maybe pay a fine for having extra children? i forgot my high thoughts but swear i had a resolution for this issue lol
it takes someone with a rather perverse sense of humor to see the levity behind our situation and i'm afraid i am just such a man. our dilemma is that our population is outstripping our resources and our technology and sense of empathy prohibits us from allowing nature to take its course and kill off those who should not survive. the weak, the indolent and the unfortunate are supported by our charity and do not make room for those who are capable of success. so instead of admitting the cruel reality of our situation, that some must die, we find we are willing to enslave ourselves to the arbitrary regulation of the powerful and consider the evil possibilities of eugenics. forced sterilization, population regulation and racial quotas have all been put on the table by those who consider themselves enlightened, all without caring that such blind ambitions do nothing more than lessen the quality of the individual and threaten the ethical growth of society. the sick humor in all this is that morality actually demands that sometimes the innocent must be left to die.
