Oh, so youve used a separate validity test strip. From your other post (post#7) Ive got the impression that youve used one of those kits with a built-in validity check. What initiated you to run a validity test?Quote:

Nevertheless, you shouldve used a dropper and drew the urine sample out of the cup and dropped beads onto each regent pad (like the labs do).
Its likely that by dipping the adulteration strip in the pee cup and withdrawn to take the reading, youve caused a cross-contamination condition when regent chemicals from the neighboring panels bled unto the pH panel, making for a skewed reading.
Human urine that has not been spiked with adulterants should always have a normal pH reading (between 3 and 11, as oulined by the DHHS regulations).
I used an adulteration test strip that came in with first check package, i did it just to make sure i had everything else alright and got concerned with ph being low so i guess i did it wrong
