Outdoor Growing in a Tropical Region

Well, if your balcony light is bright enough on the plant, maybe that would work to prevent flowering.

Is the plant right under the light? How bright is it?

Would you be safe with a plant there?

EDIT: if your plants are planted in the yard, your balcony light's prolly not gonna make this happen.

its a pretty small balcony and the plants are right beneath it - 27th floor and pretty safe from nosy mcnosies...I'll probably just try that and see if it works for this first round. just 2 plants but lots of seeds so we'll see how this goes and learn from it.

howzit weezard, i wanted to ask u a couple things for oahu right now if can...

ihave two cheeses that were vegged for about a month and a half,and now i am putting em outside.. do u have any adviceon pest prevention,and any other risks i might have?

Two things come to mind.

Powdery mildew, and bud rot.
I had to put my girls on wheels so I could pull them under an Umbrella to keep evening rains off the buds.
Gets to be a big problem when buds are big and dense.
Bugs?
The usual suspects.
Leafminers, thrips, borg, bud worms, white fly, fungus gnats.
There's also a moth that hatches a tiny, 3/4", green, caterpiggle.
It burrows into da buds and eats the base of sugar leafs.
Then poops, which starts a brown rot that ruins the bud.
First sign is a brown, dead, sugar leaf in a healthy looking bud, that detatches when ya tug on it.

A healthy plant and natural predators will handle most of it.
I just found out that whiteflies laugh at no pest strips and spraying anything else just knocks down their natural curbs.

Use yellow sticky whitefly traps outdoors.
An oscillating fan indoors will annoy them and roust them until they land on the traps.

Then there's ratbastard rustlers!:mad:
I've turned my greenhouse into a security cage with an alarm and IR cameras.
