Last run I did was femmed WW from GHS. Be careful and vigilant in your hunt for hermies. I found some nanners shooting out in about week 7 of flowering, so I was forced into an early harvest to avoid seed set in them. Still yielded quite well tho. Here's a few pics for ya
Pic 1- The 5 pack right before harvest
Pic 2- Lower bud site with male flower and seed
Pic 3- Rather large cola
cheers irydyum for the pics, I've been checking everyday...them colas look delicious dude!! whats the high like of them? was it worth the grow?:)
Peeps I want to pick your brains with these question?
Now it might just be my paranoia...but here goes...
They are 9 days into flowering..and the first week they've had 50:50 of BLOOM and BOOST...changed the tank yesterday and just added BLOOM to an EC of 1.6....today checked the plants and I could see yellow tips on the lower leaves and some curling outward...so I've topped up the tank and adjusted the EC to 1.4 and PH to 5.8 . Also from yesterday to today ph went up from 5.4 to 6.3.?
so Peeps I'm not sure if its nutes burn, or mallnutrician??
any suggestions are gratefully appreciated
some more pics.....
final lot of pics..... I'm using IONIC nutes by the way , Also if anyone got any suggestions about when I should start adding boost? and when to UP the EC of bloom...cheers for looking
If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about that lower growth yellowing. I noticed mine did that too, which was fine with me because I usually lollipop the bottom third of the plant after about a week of flowering. Most of that lower growth won't produce viable smoke, and the energy is better spent fattening up the higher buds that receive more light.
I would consider thinning those out some, either by lollipopping the bottoms, or trimming back some branches. They look healthy and happy tho. Happy growing.
BTW, the high was great, and most of the top colas weighed in over an ounce a piece, and that was in organic soil.
wow!! irydyum just read your diary man, lets hope for no hermies. Just go to learn how to lollipop and prune....I have been cutting a few branches half way with a pair of socisors....
cheers for looking:thumbsup:
hey tiny...they were from seed..GHS feminised....I'm dreading hermies:mad:Quote:

your PH change could also be a real simple thing. You just went to flower so you are readjust the plants biological clock and during this time the plant is like wtf?? :wtf: I use to get more light where did it go and I use to get grow nutes, where did that go??? When just starting flower or transplant or anything that cause a change (stress) to the plant, it will be more apt to go through more water than nutes and a rise in the amount of nute strength will no doubt change your PH. All will be good, you have been doing real well at staying on top of things and I have no doubt you will enjoy the fruits of your labor
Whats up...
I am new to hydro but ive noticed when I over feed my plants they get a little burn and the PH will keep rising like in your case. I would bring the nutes down a tad and see if the PH stabilizes.
Like I said im new to hydro but hopefully some more experienced hydro people can give you more info.
