Sorry about the repost guys...won't happen again. They tested it on a brand new ballast, however it wasn't a lumatek (not sure of the brand tho). I tested both a Hortilux 1000W mh and a Hortilux 1000w mh blue, neither would start up all the way. Looks like I must be having some of those "issues" that you speak of with luimatek...any remedies?
Some Lumatek owners report better results if you have one that can run/switch to 240 volt...instead of 120 volt.
Ushio bulbs seem to work better too, with Lumateks

Hortilux bulbs don't like Lumatek, or any other for that matter, electronic or digital ballasts.
Or is it Lumatek, or any other electronic/digital ballasts don't like Hortilux bulbs?

try a new bulb. the one DP recommends is good. i think it's a conversion bulb, but it has virtually the same spectral output, puts out more lumens than the HB and should be much cheaper. sounds like a win win!Quote:
