weve also got ammonium nitrate in mad farmer, I thought that created
byproduct nitrogen or is it the other way around? just wondering:stoned:
My fault, I need to corrct myself, there is no ammonium nitrate in mad farmer.
Imust be reading too much. There is ammonium sulfate.
Your ph fluctuation is causing stress. Keep the ph steady at all costs, or the ladies will continue to suffer. (papery-thin leaves with a washed-out color, sagging leaves that narrow at their crotch and look like an upside-down canoe) Yellowing will deepen and nanners might start appearing if you are not diligent.
Beyond that, a hydro gardener will have to check your schedule and such. (I only do soil)
hey all, ive not posted much or for a while around here(i'm more of a see if i can find the info myself first) but i am stumped with what sounds like a very similar prob.
i use canna aqua,rhizotonic,cannazyme,pk13/14(in bloom).in a gt424 nft tank with 600hps.growing 4 ppp and 2 pakistani valley.
since the last two grows, since changeing nutes from ionic grow, bloom, boost to canna iv'e had nothing but praise for how stable the ph was. BUT...
around a week ago i was doing my daily checks at lights on and my ph had dropped from around 5.6 to 4.9 i adjusted up to 5.7ish useing gt liquid silicone.next day back down around 4.5 and so it continues.the only probs i can see on my girls are some rusty patches apearing on some lower leaves and the leaf curl as described earlier.another thing i would add is the girls really started feeding faster around the same time.there steady now at 1200ppm,tds from 600 less than a week ago.
from reading around the only thing i can find is possible root rot but my roots are looking better than usual (nice bright white looking healthy).
sorry for the long post but i am STUMPED as i said. so ANY ideas at all would be really appreciated, thanks in advance and good luck yourselves
Ive had to make a late adjustment to solution to keep it
steady throuout the night .Is doing better after a week of this,as a matter of fact is spurting right now and looking very nice.I have always allowed my ph to flux, have always acknowledged this as a byproduct of a healthy feeding plant . Perhaps 1.2 is a bit much in this case.thanks for the input all.:hippy:
Ive had that problem with soil and suddenlydropping ph.I lost a real nice afgan
to that.the only thing I could figure out as the cause was a lack of a good buffering agent. My ph tanked and actually got hotter as i flushed, that sounds
alot like your problem, the signs are seemmingly apparent with any kind of ph problem high or low ph if you have this type of leaf curl you more than likely always have a ph prob, which as in my case with the afgan alot went wrong
real fast when I couldnt raise it fast enough.Ibabbleatimes:stoned:
Johnny: you might want to consider starting your own thread, and filling-out the troubleshooting form. (the link is in my signature) Might be water problems, might be medium, might be additives or dilution rates or perhaps something you're spraying...hard to tell without specifics, and a picture would help if possible.
thanks rusty, i think i have cracked it(fingers crossed) i added some h2o2 today adjusted ph 30 mins later and it has remained stable since.i think i will run it daily then flush and go back to basics and see what happens.:hippy:
