that's because a lot of ferts are chemcials. there is no real way to tell how your ladies will react. that's why you start small. you can always add but never take away. not to mention those nutes aren't made for cannabis.
some strains of cannabis can be picky about nutes.

i think advanced nutrients is supposedly made for cannabis. you might want to post that as a new thread. someone with more experience than me will chime in, but i think those are.

you do flush if you give too many nutes. you also want to give your ladies a flushing about once a month with pH'd water. add some NON-ANTIBACTERIAL dishsoap at the rate of a couple of drops to a gallon. adding the soap will help to get rid of any salt build up.
you also want to stop giving nutes about two weeks prior to harvest. you only give water as needed. this is debatable but most recommend it. this helps the plants use up the nutes stored in itself and helps with the taste/smoke.

as far as watering/feeding. this is something else you are gonna have to figure out on your own. you will be able to tell when she needs to be feed. if the new growth is light green, feed. if your plants are dark green with tips that are starting to burn, don't.
hey shake this thread was pretty much exactly what i was looking for as i am using MG MC along with "rainbow mix bloom" which i mixed in with transplant as i changed to flowering. i am 4 1\2 weeks into flower and they are looking great but just seem like they arent getting as thick as last grow and i just used straight MG MC and had smaller pots, but these new ones also have almost twice as many nodes before i topped as last time, maybe its just cuz they are focusing on more areas or i am just impatient and they will get where i want them had to let them go 9 weeks last time so they still have 5 weeks to go.
anyway they are dark green and in the last 4 days or so i have notices my tips turning yellow.... is there something i should do or is this normal, should i try to give them anything before i get to flushing time?
i'm not sure what rainbow mix bloom is? do the directions say to mix in with the soil? are there directions for mixing with water and feeding?Quote:

keep in mind that there is the 40/60 phenomena.
this basically says that the first 40% of time in flower is spent stretching and the last 60% is used to thicken up those flowers!
if they are dark green and the tips are starting to yellow then i'd say you are right at the edge of pushing them too far with the nutes. the dark green is more than likely too much nitrogen (which is not good in flower, although it could be a nute deficiency). the yellow tips are nute burn though (from the sounds of everything). so that coupled with the dark green is where i arrive at my answer.Quote:

the nutes dont seem to be causing any harm. The leaves are nice and vibrant green, not deep green or yellow tips.
