Terri's crucifixion

As it is most times the Media has let the public down, and by that action a huge injustice will most likely occur. Talking heads proclaim and journalists write that Terri's brain is mush, pudding if you will. That she is in a vegitive state, can't swallow, is not aware. "80% of her brain is gone and the remainder is 'mishaped and abnormal', according to her dr. interviewed this morning on cnn." It would be nice if that Dr. could produce medical tests to substanciate those findings. Problem is it's hard to produce the results of tests that haven't been given. It's also tough to recover from a tragic "accident" when you are denied any, and I do mean ANY rehabilitation. I am a magician and the majority of tricks/illusions require that the audience attention be misdirected. This has occured in this case. Anyone that views the entire timeline of events will conclude that Terri's medical condition is unknown at the present. That there are at the least questions about Mike's actions over the years, including his relationships with other women. His revelation concerning Terri's wishes, of which the entire legal schmegal case is built, is unfortunately, laughable. The huge inconsistancy that exists between the treatment of a convicted murderer/rapist/etc. or even a stray animal and Terri cannot be ignored by an intelligent society. The list of unknowns is many, too many for the people to sit by and watch the State dehydrate and starve a person till they die. If there is a God, and I have my doubts about that, Terri will, on her deathbed, with her last breath, in front of witnesses say those three magic words, "Micheal did it!"

If you didnt get any for 15 years, and were unable to get a legitimate divorce, wouldnt you want her to JUST FUCKING DIE already?

Besides, as far as her not suffering, she may have been suffering for 15 years! she hasn't been on drugs the whole time, and they havn't done all the tests (PET,MRI) they need to acurately determin if she's capable of suffering or not. I love how a bunch of people who are barely even paying attention to whats going in the Schiavo case, are willing to say shit about it.

They've done all the tests they need to do, which is the guageing of response via various instrumentation. An MRI would'nt show anything new, and a PET scan is just plain retarded to ask for because it only shows the outside of the brain. Senator Frist, the jackhappy pilot of this shit ship, is a transplant surgeon with no real experience of this condition. He said he had seen it as a transplanter (organ harvesting and such), but transplanters aren't allowed into any of the discussion, debate, or even the technical aspects because of the conflict of interests in favor of the prospective recipient. In addition, this is the guy that said I could get AIDS from tears. The parents' supposed proof of response is about 22 seconds of her mumbling and look around blankly in a fashion that is completely consistent with being in a vegitative state, and that's out of four hours of tape. At this point, all independent doctors have found that she is a vegitative state, and the decision rests with the legal next of kin. It isn't like she can feel anything, the majority of her brain has literally been liquefied. By the way, isn't she dead yet? The last I heard on the case was something about and indecision?

PS-The intervention was blatantly unconstitutional.

An fMRI would be the most conclusive test in my opinion. Because that would be able to show which specific areas of the brain are still functioning, and from that, they could approximate her mental status, based on what they think those areas of the brains functions are... But then again, she couldn't have had one unless her "husband"
gave consent, to have the electrodes in her brain surgically removed. Which he would not do... Though i dont see what he stood to lose if they did.

I do agree that it was blatantly unconstitutional, but on the legal side, im pretty suprised that they would take some off handed comment about not wanting to live if hooked up to tubes, and that somhow translates into some kind of living will... Hearsay like that isn't usually legally binding...

when she dies it will be good for everyone. Hopefully we can all stop pointing fingers and say that shes up in Heaven finally. Its been a long time, I'm sure she'd never want this to happen; for this to become a national thing or for her to stay like this.

It wouldn't surprise me if Terri Schiavo died today.

It will be a tragedy.

I will be very mournful.

I suspect it will feel like losing a member of the family for many of us.


But it will not surprise me if she died on Good Friday, the day Jesus died.

I want to be optimistic. I want to believe there is still some virility, some manhood, some courage, some godliness, some morality and some intestinal fortitude in public officials who could save her life with the stroke of a pen, with a phone call.

But as Terri, now in her eighth day of court-ordered starvation, weakens, I am forced to contemplate the strong possibility that this young lady may be purposely and torturously killed with the whole world watching.

Good Friday. Imagine that.
