going with cfls in flower will affect your yield; vs an HID. But if that's what you have to work with, use cool (daylight) cfls for vegging and "warm light" cfls for flowering. That's what I was taught anyway.

Yea I will take pics of the box and my little purple haze popped out of the soil. As of right now I have 4 23w cfl going ATM. Just need to make more sockets. But I will upload pics tonight. Now can I still get a decent yeild if I was to keep the box I have. The only thing I will be able to add another 2 inches to the top due to space.
so here are some pics of my box.
and the rest
Looks pretty good from here...
Just remember that the cfl's need to be very close in order to be effective, 2-3 inches max, closer if possible. I know from experience that having your light(s) in a fixed position can be a big pain in the ass. Once the plant fills up the box, it shouldn't be a problem mounting the lights on the walls. But for now you will get some major stretching if the lights are too far away, which is the last thing you want with your grow space.
Good luck and keep updating
Now could I leave those fixed and just add some on the sides of the box to help with the streching? Now I'm also going to LST the plant to make it bushy and I my top it. Now what's one way to muffle the sound of the fan cause the home made duct magnifies the sound a bit.
Nice ghettorigged box! I wish I had done the same, rather than build a plywood cab before I even had one grow under my belt. But anyways. If you're unable to lower the lights, try stacking something underneath the cup to bring it closer. As it grows, you adjust the stack as needed. And side lighting always helps - god knows I need to add some to my cab. Good luck!
^^Rambler's got some good advice. Unless the cfl's are close to the plants, they do nothing (or next to nothing) except waste electricity.
Thanks man much aprecated! Yea so I'm on my way to stack some thing under my little one. Now for nuts I have sholtz orchid bloom for my flowering stage. Now what can I use for nuts from like lowes/homedepot/walmart? Your buds looked so so dank and I'm hopeing that I get some dank buds like you did. Btw were did u get your nuts from?
I ordered mine from Holland... I'd get the Fox Farm package if I were in the U.S., though. Rusty has nothing but good things to say about FF products, you could look through some of his posts about nutrients.
