I've gotten better results with straight up CFL's.
You might try looking at some of the CFL logs as well as looking at stinky's newb guide. I think its stickied.
I like 24/0 light during veg. Do some research man it is all in the forum or on the boards.
if you're highallthetime, that means you have plenty of time to do some reading. which seems to be what you need to do.Quote:

they are there for a damn good reason, utilize them.
dont take me as an ass, im just saying blaze a bowl and get to reading. the more effort you put into your grow, the more effort the grow will put into it's self. if you catch my drift.:rastasmoke:
Look up the difference between incandescent and flourescent and HID lighting. Incandescent is BAAAD.
It's not 16/8 it's 18/6.
Do you know how to set up yoru ventilation and what to use?
Have you read the grow guide yet? This stuff is all explained in there.
Oh- that's 'sis' to you.
sorry sis!! thats my bad just used to it!SaME MEAnInG!!! lol but i have been giving my green 24 hours of light because i need them to get enough nodes so i can start flowering. right now i have 5 nodes and it is over a foot tall.wtf but one of my smaller plants are starting to get a RINkLE to them? and the are under the same cercumstances as the others and farther from the light?? IdK... ThIs DeFF.. TakEs TImE!!! ThAtS 4 SurE... tHaNkZ SIS!!!!!!!!!
yeah man. its not just like you can throw them in a pot get them to sprout and you have beautiful flowers. thats not the case in any sort of gardening.Quote:

but start yourself a grow log (not sure if you have yet or not) in the indoor or grow log section so it will be much easier to assist you with further questions you may have.

do a search here on the boards and
Yo bro, read up on lighting here:
Answers about CFL, HPS, How Much lighting, etc. I would strongly suggest CFLs, they work wonders for first time growers and are reasonably priced.
In fact, go into the Basics or FAQs section and read every possible stickied and (not stickied for that matter) piece of information you can possibly read about set-ups, lighting, ventilation, watering, nutes, soil etc etc.
If you don't at least cover the basics (light, air, soil) you aren't going to be able to flower anything, especially a dead plant.
Oh yea and listen to Miss Stinky, she's a very wise woman, and she has a good point about waiting to grow until you can give your ladies what they need.
READ READ READ. Just my opinion.
Peace,

Hey man, cfls (compact florescents) are really easy to grow with and they don`t put off a lot of heat so you can hang them right over the tops of the plants. You won`t have the plants stretching for the light. Go to Home Dumpo and buy some cheap shop lights that use 40 watt cool white bulbs. You`re plants will love it. Also make sure you have a timer connected to them, the fan etc.. I hope this helps, take care. Chili
I have been giving them 24/7 light for now because i was told that before i didn't give my babies enough light so they were stretching and i needed more nodes to start 12/12 flowering... So what do you experts THINK?? I believe the white marks on the flowers are because i usually have my light very close. Because i have distilled water and it only happens to the top leaves closest to light...:rasta: And my shorter ones don't have any marks on them nice and green..
