This is exactly correct. The tendency to hermi under specific conditions is genetic. If you fucked up and you know it, fix that and if the plant STILL hermies under correct conditions, it is a lost cause.

This is completely incorrect. Seeds from a hermi will give rise to hermaphrodite-prone females of approximately equivalent quality to the parent.
You know that force-hermed mothers are the source of commercial feminized seeds, right? :rolleyes:

Thanks everyone for some insight on this. I appreciate it. I'm gonna try the revedge and clone and see if I can make it through the next grow with out any fuck ups.

Re veg and clone is my current state. Took 14 clones from two revegged moms over the last 3 days. When I tried before flower all my clones didn't root for some reason so hopefully this time will go better. I changed up my technique, did some controlled tests,(some have root hormone, some don't, for example)

Stinky thanks for backing me up on the hermie seeds. That's how I got my bank going.
Funny thing with the hermies when I flowered some hermied and other didn't.

How does becoming a hermie plant make it schwag and dirt if it wasn't schwag and dirt tot start with? i'm afraid I don't follow that.

and Ozzy....get some Reverse by Dutchmaster. It will solve your hermie issues unless they are due to a continual light leak.

Herms are caused by:
Light leak/irregularity
High temps
Low air flow
Overripe plant
Bad genetics
Bad grow skill

Reverse will keep seeds from forming, no matter HOW much you abuse your plants! lol

I've had a few hermie with Reverse when.....AFTER the two recommended doses of Reverse are used and at some point after that I've screwed up the lighting (more than once) and had some hermie.

Other than that I've done everything on Stinky's list (wow....i'm so talented LOL!!) and she's right.....nothing else hermied no matter what torture I put it through.

I took clones from my re vegged, hermie mother and just made sure to correct the issue (light leakage) and the clones didn't hermie at all. I was surprised how well they did.

See?! You will be fine! Take reasonably decent care of your plants and they will love you back. :D

BTW on a serious note; I was sorry to read about your health issues but glad to hear you responded well to treatments. I lost my wife to cancer over 20 years ago. For the past 18 years I've worked with a hospice organization and 15 years with a cancer (fighting) group. I'd like to share with you and others two observations over that course of time.
1) MJ appears to have an anti-cancer component (anti-oxident?) to it, IMO that component is enhanced by vaporizing vs. smokeing.
2) apricot pits seem to also have an anti-cancer component (B-15?) and seem to slow or stop many progressions. And strangely seems to help with pain reduction in later stages.

My house mate is a Mohawk indian, either 89 or 91 years old (SS admin or Union card) who I met when he had "less then 6 weeks to live"....that was over ten years ago. Stage 4 all these years. Vapes at least six times and eats at least 15 apricot pits a day. A poster child for alternative medicne.

These two items ARE NOT an alternative to conventinal medicine, but can be used along side, with out harm, to what ever treatments you choose for yourself.
