Yea in his letter he said the touring took its toll, and that he lost the enthusiasm and motivation to stay in opeth...idk the thing I mentioned was kind of a rumour...so who knows how true it is...but they're still good friends...so there's none of that stereotypical rockstar breakup shit going on...funny how this thread was more about Mastodon and Opeth than PT...:DQuote:

Isn't it weird though based on their record that the longer you stay in Opeth...the more likely you're going leave...Mike being the only original member left...if Mendez leaves...the curse will be proven true my friend
when he joined everyone but one guy left...and then he changed the name to opeth...so i guess he joined an empty band with one guy and changed the name...don't know what you call that move.
