Why did Governor Richardsen even pass the medical marijuana law here?

Nuggs, I see you are already in the problems most of us have around here. No jobs, no health care, and at times it seems evil is in control of our state and city government. Im glad to hear you dont get any trouble from raceism hear, although I still see it alot (makes me ashamed at times). I know girls who have kids just to get more money form the govenment, I know people who will go to school for a week just ot get the grant money, and then leave to go back to work. This place needs some help, with things like that, no education, and no hope is the life of many, I would say almost 40% of the population. All we hear here is layoffs, busssiness moving, bussiness was gonna move here but no more. I have not been to the doctor in over 2 years, I have no medical, and the last time I was their was for a med. card for pain. I brang my doctor my info, and he didnt even read it, He just said "Why do you want Marijuana" then he said how their are much better pain suppresants such as oxxycotten. I think his exact words after saying Oxxycotten were "people seem to love that", after he yelled at me, I never went back. Not because I havent had too but because I cant afford it, and mostly Because I dont know what doctor to trust anymore, I am thinking of going to the free clinic just because they seem to care about people more. They dont care about your name or healthcare insurance, they just need your IRS papers. lol This place has alwyas been hell to some. The Land Of Entrapment some love it and some realy hate it.

Yeah Mads., That scares me too about the health care here, hubs got his old job he had 13 years ago, can you f**ing believe that!! Now I need to get one and we'll be ok at least for now. My grower back home is cool with the news of me relocating. He knows how sick I am and back in oregon, people really care if your out of medicine. I did a post once there and had 2 people give me quarters -QUARTERS of good high grade matanooska and
white widow. There are a hell alot of card holders there and they take care of their own and have huge barbecues and band/smoke fests. I went once and it was great, never tasted so many things made from gee. cookies, cakes candies all from scratch and all medicinally delicious. We networked there and thats what people need to do here. hell they wanted me to go on t.v and be a medical marijuana advocate for the state. I want to get a legal card here but need to call the local norml chapter I guess. Since no one will say squat about where the dr.'s are. NM needs a thc clinic where you show up, make an appt. bring your records, pay your fee and you have your card. It's that easy. Portland has one. Ive had my card for 3 years now.

I would have to say Las Cruces, Near the Mexican Border.

There is so much green flowing in and out of there it's amazing. Chronic is so easy to come by and the Cops seem to have other things on there mind when it comes to criminals.

I think it has come to be this way because it is so easy to access, being Near El Paso, TX and the Mexican border. Copious amounts are ran through those areas, and have been for a long time without TOO many problems. That's not saying if you are caught that they will not punish you to the full extent.

I'm not sure why you would want to know such a thing, but if its on behalf of medical cultivation (On the NM MMJ terms at least), there is not one place in the state where it is being done.

Back in the 70s we had Mex, Columbo, Cali Sensi or weak home grown.

I was in Cali for several years and in New Zealand so Sensimilla was rare but found and in NZ was a joy for Buda and Tia weed.

Nowadays pot is dank?

Skunk was nasty and now good smoke.

The hybreds and types and strains and all is mind boggling and yet exciting....IF I could walk into a place like you luckiers than I am and try many out to get my needs met.
Bud is always bud unless around the boozers then an explainition was needed.

Times have changed and the weed has gotten 1000s Xs better and more expensive but well within the quality/value range.

The big diff I have noticed is back when, pot was easy to score and a bust was bad to nasty.
Now it looks more and more like the buds are an extreme hassle to find and get and yet the bust is a petty deal by and large.

The old farts and hippies of the past were relaxed with the pot and we didn't fret our butts off about smoking and scoring.

Now it is paraniod beyond any reality.

A couple a months ago I scored some outragious bud that was the best ever in my life time and I've had some exotic weed in my time.
Took weeks for the nice non-smoker to score for me and I thought I was into a good source for atleast a few more rounds and all.

Well, his buddy got a job and didn't return the calls so I am still without for the last two months.
My neighbors are late 20s and good people and all but they smoke far less than anyone I have ever known and when and if they score...it's just enuff for themselves.
I had a few past buys from them for the dirt weed but was better than nothing and I always made sure they got more than enuff $$$ for their time and all and my way of thanking them for including me a 56 year old helpful kinda neighbor.
Looking back I paid them to where their stash was paid for and then some.

Long tale short, they are so paranoid...they tightly close their drapes and put a towel at their front door when smoking and there's only one neighbor by them and they are cool old farts as well.

Having some bud and not even an ounce at that is no alarm for a door knock with any cop standing there sniffing my place out.
Not stupid but not worried as much and this generation seems to enjoy being.

Something changed ''recently'' I don't know about???

Was a $25.00 petty misdomenor for lrss than an ounce.

And last I knew up to 8 before a felony was attached to the bust.

Well, here I am and was sooooooo hopeful.

Now I am back to discouraged.

Thought it was just me being a 56 year old guy with a ponytail asking here and there when I'd see a cool enuff person to ask if they knew of any bud to buy.

I'm just now going for a mmj card but the VA can't help and I called UNMH and they laff saying they are Federal funded in paer so will not abide by the new mmj lwas no matter what Bill our Gov says.

well as in most states there are counties that are more favorable and open to MMJ. in response to fourms requests what we would like to do is send emmisaries to Los Cruces to interface w local authorities to determin what we could do inorder to develop safe and legal acess to medicinal cannabis in NM

in keeping with that last thought if you could please provide legal cites (legislation) where the text of the NM law could be found that would go a long way in our efforts
