oya and can u let me know wut it is to FIM
FIM stands for "Fuck I Missed"...
It's said that this is what the person said when he/she was cutting off the top and missed leaving the bottom third of the cola...
SORRY about the thread jack irydyum, real nice grow you have there!!!:420thought:
I do that too. Works great...:thumbsup:Quote:
I'm vegging the small strains for about 8 hours each day under the HPS and then returning them to the "closet" when it's lights out. I know it's high maintenance but I figured I should take max advantage of the HPS, and the Hortilux doesn't seem to be causing any stretching.
I gave my HPS hortilux bulb, a rest last grow...and used a CMH bulb.
Here's what FIM did to this bad boy at about 1 month of veg.
Pic 1- Best pic I have of what the cut looks like right after it's done.
Pic 2- Here is what happened to it 5 days later, it developed multiple tops from the one cut. The leaves are all goofy shape because they were already arranged on a cellular level when I made the cut, so some of the leaf was gone before it emerged. The next nodes to come out were perfectly proportioned.
Here's the specs you were looking for, sorry I'm short on time so I have to make this brief.
Soil- Mixture of FoxFarm Planting Mix and Happy Frog with vermiculite and I also keep about 100 live redworms in my compost bin so they end up in the soil as well. Excellent for replenishing nitrogen and aerating the soil for root development. Also have read that they bring beneficial bacteria and fungi to the party, someone else may be able to expound on this or maybe we should start a thread on it.
Pots- started in 16oz bottles with tops cut off and drainage holes drilled in them. Transplanted to 2 gallon pots from there with same soil mix. A little aside about transplanting. If you are transplanting from one container to another it helps to have an extra of the smaller one to create a negative in the larger pot. In other words, I put an empty container in my larger pot and backfill around it, then gently pull out the small container and it leaves me a perfect negative to drop the transplant into. I usually have zero transplant shock doing it this way.
Lights- Veg, running mixture of cool and warm CFL's. Have 6 @ 65w/light.
Flower, 400w HPS Hortilux Eye
Nutes- Veg, FoxFarm Grow Big, Maxicrop Liquified Seaweed, Earth Juice Assist
Flower, FoxFarm Tiger Bloom, Organa Guano, Earth Juice Assist, and Sweet
I vegged this time for about 2 months (so I could clone) and then flowered. Plants were about 2' when flowering began and I used Bushmaster to cease upward growth.
Any other questions about specs, I'm an open book.
DT - No sweat on the threadjack I'm just happy people are stopping by with their 2 cents. Thanks for the props.
Dutch, as an aside to your message. I spent about 2 years studying all of this before I ever stuck seed one in the ground. I made a promise to my fiance that we would smoke my product instead of the street bullshit, and here I am with my first real xmas tree lot. Can't even describe the feeling. Can't say that I didn't make some mistakes along the way, but all in all I'm happy with my setup for now.:smokebong:
Just a little pic to wet the appetite some.

Another week down, another week on my girl. Here's some pics for anyone that might be following.
Yum.
I don't think these will need any explanation. 100% cloudy white crystals just like I like em, 2 mos veg, 2 mos flower, lickin lips waiting to medicate. Thanks everyone for following, I'll be starting a new thread sooner than later.
