Microwaving plastics can release the plasticizers, compounds that are added to a solution to begin the polymerization process. These include the Phenols, which are organic carbon ring molecules with an -OH group attached, and are known to be toxic (hazard rating 4 on a scale of 0-4), among others.
Always microwave in glass or ceramic containers.
Don't use a microwave that often. I didn't put tinfoil in a microwave. Just asking because for firecrackers you wrap tinfoil around it, but you put that in an oven.Quote:
