I Figured it out! ...the ONE thing negative about pot!

I think some of the responses on this thread actually ILLUSTRATE what I believe the OP to be saying.

My take:
By 'boredom', the OP is referring to a lack of activity or stimulus in one's life (Terps, correct me if I am wrong in assuming that).
Take, for example, a lazy Sunday afternoon when you've run out of crap to do. What's next? Mow the lawn again? Call a friend to go fishing? Read a book? Teach yourself guitar? Or sedate yourself and watch TV?
I think that weed can lull us into a false contentment, even at times when we would be better served by learning something new, or enjoying an activity of some sort. I fail to see getting high as a desirable activity unto itself; it should be a contributing factor in your activities, to improve them!

One member here has the siggy line, "GET HIGH AND DO SOMETHING".
And that, my friends, is EXACTLY what I'm about to do! There's a joint and a jazz open mic in Northampton with my name written ALL over them. :jointsmile:

also wanted to add that I don't smoke weed then just sit around doing nothing.

I own 3 bikes. a 6000$ road bike, a 900$ kona mountain bike, and lastly I own a 700$ GT bmx bike.I also go on 20 mile road bike rides and take 6-7 blunts to toke on here and there.

now thats an 1 hell of an activity if I do say so my felf.:D:D:D:D:stoned::stoned::stoned:

I also go to the gym, the lake, and a bunch of other active places.:D:stoned:
I also write poetry. paint pictures of the crazy stuff that pops into my mind.
and I also walk my wienner dog in the evenings. feed the 2 mangy cats.
but I wouldn't feed em if I didnt lovem.:D

play my bongo brums.:D

I could go on for hours about all the stuff I do thats active while :S5::bigsmoke::joint1: butt I have to go to the gym to do some swim laps right now.
cuz it sounds like a kick ass thing to do right now.:D

The few bad things about (non-medicinal) marijuana use are:
-if you smoke everyday, you'll get a hazy, cloudy head feeling and you'll be forgetful.
-(from smoking) you'll be out of breath very quick.
-(only for SOME people) you'll be less included to do something physical (like running?)


That being said, the ideal frequency to smoke if you want to maximize the MANY good effects, while minimizing the negative effects is around 1-2 times per week. This ensures, you wont get the above points. and you'll keep your tolerance down, which is always a great thing. :thumbsup:

thats not bad..

the only bad thing about weed = it eventually runs out.

I smoked every day for 15 years, get up , light up , smoke all day and every day.
That was how I lived , I also worked long hours , I had a very busy social life and I slept around 4 hours a night. I loved it.
The only real downside was that smoking that many pipes and bongs and joints and chillums probably didn't do my health a great deal of good.

You know I need to get a pair of bikes. There have been quite a number of times where I just sit there and say "I'm bored". Me and the g/f should take up bike riding. Thanks for the idea :hippy:

:S2: sadly this is true, if u r living where u cant grow or its too risky to do so, cuz if u grow your own, u can schedule your supply in way that it never runs out!

I'm never bored when stoned. Sober though..

Nothing like smoking a fat one to make the world more exciting.

I dunno if it does that, when I'm baked I don't sit there and do nothing because that would be boring baked or not. I usually do most of the same things I do sober.
