Really, so I guess that they kept talking about change, change change but no direct insight as to what "change" will take place. Honestly his campaign slogan of hope and change have got to be both the best idea and worst idea ever. Best idea because it is so vague and something no one is going to say they don't want "No I don't want any hope.. No I don't want any promising changes to the future". It is so good in fact that he has recruited countless people on this mantra alone. Ask your average person on the street what Obama is going to change or some of his legislative achievements and 7/10 won't be able to give you a legitimate answer.Quote:

No, being able to give a speech is neither a qualifier or dequalification in my eyes. I look at candidates histories. I feel this gives better insight than any BS that might spew out of their mouths. Transcripts and voting records don't lie.Quote:
I understand that giving a great speech is not a qualification for being a president, but is being a bumbling, speaking disabled, reader of other peoples speeches a disqualification?
People are so hung up on "being inspired". You know what, I don't need someone to inspire me, I need someone to take care of business. To take charge and be able to make the hard decisions that WE are going to hate him for, but have to be done. That's who I want in the white house and Obama simply doesn't fit the bill.Quote:
I am sure excited to see McCain get up there at the RNC in his monotone and inspire nobody.
If you want to be inspired I suggest you go see a motivational speaker. Hell, maybe we should put up a motivational speaker. I bet he would be able to do just as well as Obama.
Sigh.. i can't believe you would even say that. In a way this statement was racist in itself. Good job laying down a stereotype and categorizing all people that are "rednecks", as you say, as being racist. That was very kind of you. :hippy:Quote:
Here's to hoping his speech does not have the impact that MLK's speech had. I sure don't want too many racist redneck's to be gunning for the next president!
