Just watch the cotyledons (the little round leaves at the very bottom).
When they turn yellow, it's time to start giving reduced-strength nutes.
The babies look great! :D
thanks doob i had read that a few times lol , just felt the urge to ask . well heres a few more new pics , my santamaria X lowrider are saying goodmorning , as they opened up today :D guess when time comes for 12/12 Ill need to make a new veg room , im currently in a 4x6 closet , temps average 75 -78 but i dont have much room for any other type of growroom so i might have to stick the bigger plants outside for 12/12 ... Mabye 12 @ night ... but id be woried about an infestation of bugs ., hmmm i dontknow anyways enjoy :rastasmoke:
its been about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks now they have been veggin , smell great and have what look to be pistils growing ... im not to sure tho . didnt think i would see signs of sex till i went to a 12/12 cycle im on 24/0 now, let me know what you think . If this is indeed a female then i have 3 happy females =)
I don't see any pistils yet :)
i was going off this chart attached below .. i guess the new growth is just more leaves?
Yeah, that's what it looks like... Just new branches.
Those 2 little hair-like things on the stem right at each leaf node... Watch those. Your pre-flowers will emerge from behind those kinda. :)
Little FYI- while you can use the pH TESTER for a pool, never use the pH ADJUSTERS from the pool! Those will kill your plants. Since you don't actually put the pH indicator drops in the water you give the plants, you can use them fine.
Also, starting in smallish pots and going up a pot size every 4-6 weeks, you should not really have to worry too much about pH.
Start with the faffard stuff alone for the young plants, and add the manure and perlite to the mix for your first re-pot, at about 5 nodes.
Yea all im usuing for the seedlings is the fafard stuff . on the bigger plants im just using scotts topsoil and some pearllight , Im scared to give ''my babys'' any nutes let alone pool chems lol im dreading the day when i walk in the closet and see the lil leaves yellowing . i have a question about watering , im currently watering every 3 to 4 days . or when i cant feel to much dampness about an inch below the topsoil should i water until there is some runoff out the bottom of the pot . i hardley have any runoff to even test with the ph tester. heres a few pics , a bit of yellow on the tips ...??? ..oh also i could of sworn i read somewhere that u were waiting for pics of trichs , heres a few from my outdoor plant lastyear .
Start lifting the pots to feel how light they are. If the lightness surprises you, it's time to water.
Feed at half strenght starting at 5 nodes. Work up gradually, backing off if you see tip burn.
You don't have to water to runoff every time- only once in a while, and when you are checking soil pH or flushing.
You should read the first link in my siggy for a lot more useful info.
Your outdoor plants look great, nice work. Next year, you might give them a BIT more ferts mixed into the soil- like some bat guano and just a BIT of seabird guano- so that you see yellowing about 2-4 weeks later than you are seeing it now. But it ain't really broke, man
