Ex-cook gets 6 months for hair in steak
WEST BEND, Wis. (AP) - A former restaurant cook who has pleaded guilty to a food-tampering charge in Washington County has been sentenced to six months behind bars and three years probation. Ryan Kropp, of West Bend, was fired along with another cook after a Feb. 23 incident at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in West Bend.
The 24-year-old is accused of inserting hairs in a steak before giving it to a dissatisfied customer.
Kropp apologized in court Tuesday, saying he was ashamed, embarrassed and remorseful. He will be allowed work release.
The patrol who got the steak, Kevin Hansen, says he doesn't accept his apology and Kropp deserves more time. He says he and his family don't eat out anymore.

The human body is cleaner than most of the things that get washed in those sinks... I know, I reluctantly worked at BK for a couple years. That's where they wash the food trays too... you know, those trays that every customer gets to use as a nasty slop catcher, drool pan, booger receptacle, you name it! Then they get dried off with a used "sterile" rag and put into a nasty holding place... the kitchen area is usually nastier than the bathrooms.
Get your food in a bag! Better yet, don't eat there ever again!
ALL the stuff gets washed in the same place, except for the mops.
They're just tryin to hype it all up and make it sound terrible. BK is fucked to begin with.
