anyone know what kind of bug this is?
thanks LuciferN, i will try that out in the next couple of days.
i just got back inside from watering the plants, and as soon as i got down there, i noticed the same kind of bug, only bigger. it for sure is a different one, and i looked at it cosely and it was 6 legs with 2 antennas. you were right illnillinois
i have also been noticing little spots on a few leaves. at first, i thought they were eggs, but than i noticed they seem to be little bites at the leaves, because you can almost see through the little marks, without it actually being holes.
so i watered them all, and lightly misted the plants in the hopes that it will get rid of these things, whatever they are.
if anyone knows exactly what these insects are, and if they are causing harm to my plants or not, please let me know.

just took some more pictures of the problems.
pictures as follows-
1,2- what i first thought were eggs, but now think are bite marks. what do you think they are?
3,4- the insect that i always see on the plant. i noticed that when i brought the stick close to him he went into the defensive position that looks exactly like the praying mantis defense stance, so im thinking it might be related?
5- a spider i have noticed for the past couple of days. can he do harm to my plant? i try to get rid of him, but he moves to quick for me to grab him without hurting the plant.
any input would be appreciate,
gianca

You've got an underpaid bouncer.:rambohead:
That looks to me like an immature Assasin Bug.
It's a predator. Eats a variety of tiny critters.
Between him and that jumping spider, they have your back!
Looking good, G.
Wish I could help with potency testing:)
