Ok, good details, carry on this way be slow and patient with the nutes. With regard to the light there is definately such a thing as too much light. A cannabis plant in full flower can use a maximum of 10K lumens, no more. A seedling can use no more than about 500. Veg uses about 3500. More than those amounts will easily bleach your fan leaves.
When we cut clones for instance we trim back the leaves so as not to collect too much light while trying to develop roots for instance.

I don't know about to much Light... I would just watch the Fert other then that it sounds like you have a good hand on it... With the W/F's just make sure not to VEG to Long or you will get root Rot I have a Thread First Time DWC and you can see all possible mistakes on it Ill post up a link... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Good Luck GL http://boards.cannabis.com/hydroponi...m-buckets.html Sorry can not jump down New System

if a vegging plant can only handle 3500 lumens then why do people use MH bulbs when they give off way more than that (correct me if I'm wrong). Side note.......plant looks good and environment seems to be perfect but I noticed that the rapid rooter in the center of the hydroton is dry, very dry......is that a problem???? Took pics.....but don't have the cable .....soon....stay with me.....

how often is your waterfarm dripsystem running? At least 15 mins on every hour no? You don't necessarily have to keep the rapid rooter super wet but if it seems a bit on the dry side, you might want to have it drip maybe a couple times an hour 15 mins each time. I just don't recommend steady drip, could lead to root rot.

Hydroton shouldn't be dry or soaking wet, it should be damp. A veg lamp of 400 Watt for instance puts out 10K lumens at 2.5 feet, from there is drops down significantly. So at 3 feet or so it is putting out more than enough light for the whole veg cycle and penetrating deep into the canopy while leaving a good amount of head room for cooling.
