I didnt jump to any judgements. Obviously when I say government 'handouts' I mean for the people who really do not deserve them (People who continue to blow out kids for example even though they are one foodstamps and shit). What kind of idiot would consider a severe disability not just cause for help?
Sure, we shouldn't judge too fast on the recipients of welfare but the welfare system in America is vastly corrupt in general.
The unemployment benefit differs by state. I was layed off in April and my benies are 600 a wk. I've heard that WA st has the highest benies at 700 a wk.

I plan on stimulating the economy with the additional benefit payments - rather than taking a job that somebody else needs more than myself. If I dare say so, that's pretty damn unselfish! :jointsmile:

30 weeks, then theres extensions for retraining and the extension congress just passed. I.m not doing the retraining thing so about 48 weeks total for me. I dont anticipate I will need it all though. Although it is a little more difficult than in the past to find work at my pay scale and with a kid in college I cant work for less.. LOL.Quote:
