Here on the Gulf Coast I'm paying $4.50 for premium (93 octane). I drive about 150 Miles per week. I can stretch an 18 gallon tank of fuel for about 2 1/2 weeks. That's if I'm ***really*** stretching it.
A little lower in Texas here since we get some of our supply locally from the refineries and offshore drilling near the coast, which makes the supply chain shorter. $3.94 a gallon (regular) is our current average. There are some stations charging a dime more than that, but $3.94's what all the station prices on my way home today said.
Can't imagine how you guys are doing it where you have to drive that many miles to work, Illinois and Daihashi. I can't imagine what it would feel like to pay that and then have to endure California traffic, either, and let that much gas go toward nothing more than idling.
I'm going to start riding my bicycle to the office. I already hoof it between office and hospital, which is about a half block. We're looking into getting a hybrid right now because Bird has to cover some territory to get to school. What I really want is an all-electric or all hydrogen cell pickup truck.
The average in portland this week is...
$4.20 :(

$3.84 a gallon. I coast downhill....
The gas prices here range from low $4 to high $4. I've seen two gas stations right across from each other with a 20 cent difference. And some people are actually using the expensive one! :wtf: I stopped driving. Sold my car, and walk everywhere. If I need to get somewhere far, I'll call up someone and even with dishing out $20-$50 gas money depending on where I want to go along with a couple of js I'm still saving a ton. Even when I get off of disability I plan on using public transportation.
Bout $1.38 up here in Canada
$1.38 a liter.. Yeah you guys are getting screwed too.
