it very well could be the soil, but considering it said good for seedlings... I am not sure, but the yellowing could be from overwatering if it has been raining a lot. they are just way too young to be adding any ferts
hope ya figure it out

Yeah, the ferts certainly didn't help things. It made them a little worse... but they're still alive and mostly green...
I imagine for re-potting to make a difference I would have to shake all the "hot" soil out from the roots. I've never done that... I always just put the rootball into the new pot, with all the old soil still in the roots. Would it kill the plant if I shook it all out? I can only imagine that damages some of the roots.
I don't know if it would be more stressful to re-pot them or just make sure to flush the soil good when I water them.

Do it in this order:
-Put big holes in the pots they are in, and flush them out well with tap water.
-Put some more holes in the sides of the pots, to help dry and aerate the soil.
-Wait for the soil to dry out pretty well
-Transplant into slightly larger pots with fresh, light soil that has a lot of perlite in it.

Thanks for the advice. I'm definitely going to follow it, I've just been busy. I haven't even watered them for a couple weeks, but its been raining enough for them. I may just stick them in their final pots in a few weeks, with extra drainage holes, ventilation, and perlite.
A National Guard helicopter was slowly flying/hovering over some prime growing land about 2 miles away from my grow spot yesterday. They definitely were looking for something. It made me a little nervous, but what can you do? I'm planning on finishing these babies in pots, not in the ground. I know that makes them easier to spot, but to be honest I figure if a helicopter flys over my grow spot looking for cannabis, I'm fucked regardless. I want them in pots because I want to be able to move the males once they flower, but keep them alive so I can harvest seeds this year.
The National Guard along with the local sheriff pulled up a grow with 35,000 plants in a National Forest not far from the one I'm in a few weeks ago. They're on the hunt down here, that's for sure. Hopefully they won't spot my 8 plants as easily.
If they do spot and pull my grow, I just hope they don't catch me in the process... and that they get twice as many spider, chigger, and tick bites as I've gotten down in that God-forsaken swamp.

You don't need to leave males past the time they release pollen if you want seeds. Just make sure that pollination has occurred by checking for seed development in the calyxes, and then you can kill them. The females will still bear seed.

NEWPORT - A drug raid Monday led to the seizure of more than 350,000 marijuana plants, authorities said.
The plants, most of them fewer than 2 months old, would have carried an estimated $700 million in street value at maturity, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter pilot spotted the plants Monday morning growing in the Cherokee National Forest near Interstate 40, about 5 miles from the Tennessee-North Carolina line, according to the TBI. The growers lived on a campsite there and tended the pot for months at a time, authorities said.
Investigators estimate they'd been using the site for years.
Authorities didn't find anyone at the camp site Monday, according to the TBI, but expect arrests to follow.
The THP, the Cocke County Sheriff's Department, the TBI, the National Park Service, and other law enforcement agencies took part in the raid.

Here's the article of the recent bust near me....
35,000 Pot Plants Seized In Harnett County - News - NBC 17
Nothing like the 350,000 they found in the mountains, but stilll 35,000 is ridiculous. Just shows what kind of demand there is I guess. Yeah, there had to be a few people involved in this one. They did a lot of work clearing trees and such... not to mention the work of actually planting all those freaking things.

I visited the plants this morning, and a couple of them have some holes eaten through their leaves. A grasshopper looking thing (but much thinner and smaller... and almost translucent) was sitting on one of them. I flicked it off. I wanted to take some pictures, but my camera ran out of batteries.
Do you have any advice concerning what I should do about this? Should I purchase some insecticide soap or something? Or some Sevin? I have no idea... I just know I don't want these plants to get eaten up. They're just now starting to recover from the over feeding they got earlier. I'll try to get some pictures if that might be helpful.
Also, a thunderstorm knocked over my Trainwreck while I was out of town over the weekend. It looks pretty much dead. So now I'm down to 7 plants.

HOLLY SHIT
I live about 20 miles away from where this happened.
Whats fucked up is marijuana as a cash crop is a big part of our local economy and these douche bag fuckers believe they are doing the right thing by raiding these grow sites. All it does is take money away from our community.
