Also 'Don't Look Back' by Boston, and 'Freewill' and 'Fly by Night' by Rush. You might need some crackers with your cheez, but those are super motivational! lol (Hey don't hate; Rush is the bomb)Quote:

Thats what I like to do,I sit outside and sunbathe, feels so good to get some sun on your skin.I usually take some lemonade or something and just chill. My backyard is set up with a table and my radio,I always burn outside, but sometimes I just sit out there and just catch some sun.Or go beach. That feels good too.....Not swimming, just sorta go out to where the water is chest high when I bend my knees. I just wade and float around.Quote:

I have this mix of uplifting Bob Marley tunes, and In the summer I'll drive around aimlessly with the windows down listening to it.
Always cheers me up.
If you just feel down, then going outside and doing something will make you feel better. A walk or a bike ride.
If you are down about soomething in particular, then taking even just one tiny step toward fixing it will make you feel better, even if it is just making a plan for something to do tomorrow.
I think we all get depressed from time to time. I have my hobbies, guitar, reading. But really nothing gets you out of the doldrums like a little herb.:stoned:
When im feelin depressed i smoke some good weed:jointsmile:alwyz makes me in a good mood, and forget why i should be depressed!:D
thank you marijuana, the earths best creation:D
keep on tokin:stoned:
These are the approaches I find work best:
Exercise, always combined with music
Sunshine
Sex (when possible)
Getting out and volunteering, which is a quick perspective-changer
Doing something creative, like painting, stained glass, singing, piano-playing, or embroidery
Spending time with my son or my baby nephew
Spending time with my dogs and cats
Journaling or talking to someone, usually my spouse but also my dad or my best girlfriend
Eating right and drinking lots of water
Staying away from refined sugar and flour and not drinking alcohol
Getting enough rest, although, to be honest, when I'm depressed, a desire to want to sleep 14 hours a day is one of the main ways I know I'm in the pits
For me, prescribed antidepressants, while I know they work well for many thousands of people, are not ideal. I hate they way they make me feel, and they have nasty side-effects. I think folks who're seriously depressed need to consider them, however, and if I were incapacitated with depression, I'd do the same.
The worst part about depression, at least to me--and I get it mostly during the short days during the wintertime--is that, when it's present, it's uniquely hard to pull myself upright and get out and tackle any of the things on my list above. Taking those first couple of steps toward positive action is always a challenge.
I hang out with friends, that helps me. I'll smoke a bowl and think about how to reverse my situation. Exercise, music.
I just go hang out with a pretty girl, that usually helps me see the light.
