A small question about my vape
Are we talking about the same Vapir One? The new model they put out is the one that I just got and it was rated really well on all the sites I checked out and I'm pretty sure that one of the problems they combatted with the new model was the air leakage problems. Everyone I know who's smoked out of it has loved it.

When was this released? My model was about a year and a half old. Maybe it's time to hit up my local smoke shop and do some window shopping just for curiosity sake.
A small question about my vape
Like I said the vapir one does work and will put out a few thick bags of vapor. Although it works doesn't mean its a good vaporizer. While it vaporizes good, the materials used are a bit hazardous to your health and counter acts the purpose of vaping. Even the v5.0 has a metal coil heating element, which releases ions when heated, also its case is still made of plastic which seeps out toxic chemicals when heated. It also has a lot of problems with the heating element and the fan craping out on them. The fan on my friend's bearing is shot and takes a second to get up to speed, when normally it is instant. They only come with a 90 day warrenty, and break frequently, not such a great combo. I would recommend anyone invest money they worked for on this vape, unless its free its much more worthwhile to get a different vape.
A small question about my vape
i've got a vapir one, it seems to work okay but its the only vap i've ever tried. my only complaint, beside the already mentioned somewhat funky toasty taste, is that its kinda loud, full on kinda sounds like a blow dryer :D anyone know if the volcano's or others are less noisy?

^ btw, the lower speeds are fairly quiet.

That's the other problem, it uses a blade fan, not a pump or even a blower fan, which doesn't produce much pressure. When the bag is filling gravity is trying to collapse the bag putting a small amount pressure in the bag. The blade fan can't over come this pressure so it still spins but moves less and less air with more pressure. The herbalaire uses a pump, and I assume the volcano uses a blower fan.

The 'cano uses an internal pump.
The Vapir One, IMO, is neither a top rated vape nor is it a toxic waste emitter. The plastic shell doesn't get hot enough to emit toxic chemicals and I don't know where you get your info that "the v5.0 has a metal coil heating element". It uses a "ceramic housed quartz crystal heating element". With it's fan and digital display, and the short 90 day warranty, it's a risky buy for the long term and can't compete quality wise with the herbalAire, but at $100 less it's the best deal for bag use. If you're not going to use bags there are many whip/direct draw vapes that are a better buy.

The herbalAire's pump just emits a low hum. Not noisy at all IMO. The 'cano's not noisy either, but when you can get bag use and direct draw with the herbalAire for less than half the price... and then there's the Extreme with digital display and a little more satisfying direct draw.

^ thank you! great info there.
i think what my vap really needs right now is just better bud. but i'm still working on that . . .

I'm going to second the direct draw/whip vape. I prefer my vaporbros knockoff that I got on ebay for under $70. Digital readout, actual temperature display, ceramic heating element and hands-free glass on glass operation.
I think you all spend too much money on vaporizers. The volcano is cool but it's like the Porsche of Vaporizers. What are you compensating for? The non-digital volcano is a headache to use because you tear through a lot of trial-and-error finding your heat setting. At least with these digital guys, you can google it, set it and have fun.
Also, I don't really understand the whole allure of the bag vaporizers. I know the volcano will last 24-48 hours after inflated but it's bulky and where are you going that you can't plug in a vape?
It's really irresponcible to drive while vaping...

Or maybe you could look in the manual and see exactly what temp each mark on the dial corresponds to.
