I was watching a prog on TV tonight and they were discussing if Mcain became president .
The show is based on a humorous take on current events called "Have I Got News For You", they suggested that while he was captive he may have been reprogrammed by the VC so that when he gets in he would start nuking shit.
I had to smile. :D

I agree with Markass. What would they really be able to do to us and why would they want to if we would just keep our noses out of their business? Instead of trying to dominate the world, why don't we focus on making our country a better place.
Sure we wouldn't be able to just pull out now that we are already over there, but it does need to stop. The longer we are forcing our will upon other countries the more they will hate us and want to destroy us.
Who here has seen the new Iron Man? I think that has a very good message to it that would apply to this.

Forgive me for going off topic a little.
I'm pretty sure that if England were invaded by a country trying to tell us what to do and destroying our traditions they would meet just as much resistance as we are experiencing in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I don't think the Americans would take to kindly to it either , so what gives us the right?
Does America want another president who is going to waste billions trying to fight an unwinnable fight. ?

It's just a shame that people don't realize...We'd be pissed too if a military was invading our sacred America...And I damn sure think that most people would be fighting for their country...That's exactly what these people are doing, and have been doing since we've had troops in the middle east over the years..
No I don't think the terrorists will use an airplane this time because of beefed up securities at the airports...but I do know they are scoping out our military bases for terrorist attacks. We currently in my town have two Muslim students in jail for having explosives in their car near a military base in SC. They said they were fireworks. YEAH RIGHT! but America "IS" currently being destroyed from the inside!

but I admit as a military widow that I am a bit prejudiced for our troops and boots on the ground. But I do work daily for MMJ legalization in Florida. Dumb law hasseling people over weed.
But as a medical professional with advanced degrees.....I do advocate MMJ....and don't see why they hassle a user like you and me....as a lawabiding citizen....it is the only law I break. But medically it does help me. Things are starting to loosen up though as some states it is now legal and I have hope here. peace and love!

So do you think that our troops 4,000 miles away is going to keep them from targeting anything in our country?? We're letting possible terrorists into our country to live and we MUST continue to fight overseas so we can be safe..? It makes no sense whatsoever to me...The only harm they're going to do to our country from over there is kill soldiers and weaken our military...kill young men and women of our country...
I'll bet you those two muslim fellas were living legally in our country too...It's not terrorist groups having weapons and guns fighting each other 4,000 miles away that's a threat...It's them in our country..

No, but surviving under otherwise deadly circumstances and still being a becon of hope to your comrades and fellow americans is a LEADERSHIP quality that we should be looking for in a president.
Being a President involves leading your people. Leading is what's required for being a president.
Let the Executive branch, Legislative branch and Judicial Branch do their independant jobs.
Obama: Not showing up to vote is not a good sign of a leader. Look at his voting record. Man is notorious for it.
Clinton: A person who fails to see the greater good for a group instead of the individual. She knows she's ruining the Democratic chances by continuing to drag this on and on. Instead of letting her party have any signifigant chance she's continuing to drag it out and honestly the democrats look like complete crap to me because of this. I'm not sure I'd want to even look in Obama or Clintons general direction, or even the democratic parties indecision.
McCain is looking better to me every day, but to be honest all these candidates look like Turd Sandwiches and Giant Douches to me :thumbsup:
