Yes, you got that part right --- it was a joke (well, mostly). Take a chill pill girl, you know me, I don't make broad, unfair characterizations of people (well, mostly not).

And I wasn't saying EVERY Republican is like that. I was making fun of the quarter million Republicans who voted in the Democratic primary so they could vote for who they think is the weakest Democratic candidate and give their own candidate an edge in the general election. I think that is wrong. Anyone who did this deserves to be made fun of, and if they can't take a little crap for not voting for their own candidate, then maybe they're a little too oversensitive to be pulling that kind of bullshit tactic. Maybe they should just stick to supporting their own candidate and they wouldn't have to put up with being ridiculed for voting for a Democrat. I respect any Republican who supports their own candidate without resorting to sleazeball tactics.

It's arrogant to think you have the right to interfere with the other party's primary process. And no, Democrats have NOT been doing this for quite some time. P4B claimed to have INVENTED this tactic. Have you ever heard of a Democrat voting in the Republican pirimary for this reason? If Democrats had conspired to put Tommy Thompson or Tom Tancredo or anyone else on the Republican ticket instead of McCain, would you think that was arrogant? Don't you think that decisiosn should be left to the Republicans? I think the choice of Democratic candidate should be left to Democrats, or those who honestly want to vote for a Democrat in the general election, not some dirtbag who wants to screw with our ticket.

My comment was about outsmarting yourself strategically, not about justification for or against the war. Regardless of whether you support the war or not, you have to admit the neo-con assclowns (thanks P4B) in charge of it have made one strategic blunder after another trying to be clever with it. I hate having to explain a joke, but the joke was that these Republican assclowns (sorry P4B) who voted for Hillary may end up outsmarting themselves and actually get her elected.

Anyway, if you think it is OK to vote in the other party's primary in order to pick a weaker opponent to face your party's candidate, then justify it. And I don't mean an "ends justifies the means" kind of argument. That doesn't wash. It is not SO IMPORTANT that your party win that it justifies manipulating the democratic process this way. I don't think there are any reasons to do this other than a cynical, sleazy manipulation of process. Unless you can come up with a better explanation, I say it comes from fear, desperation, arrogance, and lust for power. The rest are jokes (mostly)

I never said I was for Republicans voting for Hillary though. Personally I hate Hillary. And I think that if a Democrat has to get into office, then I hope it's Obama.

Not because I like his politics, I don't. I just really hate Hillary more. And he seems like a better person morally than she does.

It would be one thing if Republicans were voting in the Democratic primary and picking the Democrat they thought would be the best. I can understand a person wanting as many good choices as possible on the ballot. But it's really pathetic that they think their own candidate is so weak that they would try to create a "lesser of two evils" election rather than just vote for the best people available. The fact is that the next president will be a Democrat, so they should be thinking about who they really want.

I support Obama over Clinton, but imagine if these Republicans do succeed in putting her over the top, and she wins the general election too. I'd love to see Rush and the rest of these "strategic" voters have to suck on it for the next four years --- THEY voted for her.
