If you want me to ruin the illusion, read on:
For this to work, the process needs to move the number of times you want to eat out to the "100's place" --- it needs to be multiplied by 100. So this is done when you take your number and in step 2 you multiply it by 2 and in step 4 you multiply it by 50. So 2 x 50 x your number = 100 x your number.
The other thing that needs to happen is that to get your age, the process needs to subtract your birth year form the current year (or last year if you haven't had your birthday yet). This is done by taking the number 5 in step 3 and multiplying it by 50 in step 4 to get 250, then adding that to 1758 in step 5. That gives you 2008. Subtract the year you were born from 2008 and you get your age.
The reason it seems like a miracle is that both of these two proceses are comibined together and done in a confusing way so that you are not sure what is going on.
Sorry for taking the magic out of your world today.
One other thing to point out --- it doesn't work if your age is over 100, because then your age takes up 3 digits --- it tells you you are 100 years less than you actually are (7 years old, when you are actually 107), and it tells you you like to eat out one time more per week. Sorry old man --- no magic for you!
Exactly... its just some mischevious math... :pQuote:

Subtract the lower from the higher number and by knowing the first number in your answer it is possible to know the complete answer.
381
183 -
------
198
The middle number will always be 9 and the two end numbers will always add up to nine too.
^^^^ Also, the result number always will be multiple of 99.
Wanna have more fun with numbers ?
Try these.
1)Write down your age
2) Multiply it by 3.
3) Add 1 to the total
4) Multiply that by 3
5) Add the original number (your age)
Then you ask for the total. Suppose that someone writes down 23. They multiply it by 3 getting 69. The person adds 1 getting 70. It is multiplied by 3 equaling 210 and the original number is added which equals 233. When you are told this number you take away the last digit. This gives you 23, which is the original number.
You will need 3 dice. Give the person 3 dice saying, ??When my back is turned please roll these 3 dice.? Now tell the person these directions:
1) Multiply the number on die one by 2.
2) Add 5
3) Multiply by 5
4) Add the number from die 2 to the total
5) Multiply by 10
6) Add the number on die 3 to the total
Finally say, ??What total did you get?? You subtract 250 from the number. Suppose the person tells you 612. 612-250=362. So the numbers showing on the dice are 3, 6, and 2.
Nice ones!
But lets wait to see who will "ruin the illusions" this time... ;)
HOW? :O
LOLZ
these things are always fun to do.lol
its interesting how ppl think of these things up.
it works cause of the math u got to do. like i think some of the steps cancel some of the point less parts so when u put in ur year it will get it right. but never the less fun:jointsmile:
Got my age right but got my original number wrong.
