I'm an athiest but I read the different versions of the bible just so I can have some sort of an understanding what the different religious sects are talking about. Pretty boring reading buts important to know what there argument is.

Well... the basical premisse of logic is that if something is something, it cant also be its opposite. Or it IS something, or it ISNT something.
Supposing that the anti-Christ be the opposite of Christ (what is strongly suggested by its very naming), then they simply cant be the same.

Well the bible is similar to the story of Buddha, in which he himself discovers the negative and opposite side to himself, called "Mara".

I think what the bible means by anti-christ is an example of what the opposite to christ himself would do.

In any case, claiming he's the anti christ is just a way for hillary to win the votes of the ignorant racist and fanatical christians that inhabit many parts of america.

I don't usually take the bible in the literal sense either, and I do not think Obama is the anti-christ.

This has been coming up a lot recently: Respect for other religions and cultures.

We really need to tone down the very strong language that other members of other faiths will be upset by. With over 90,000 members, it's important to be gentler in our discussions about organized, and even disorganized, religions.

This is a site where medical marijuana patients are encouraged to come and learn... no matter WHAT their faith. Please don't drive them away with harsh words.
