The president can select, with the Senate's approval (or waiting for them to go on vacation like Bush does), a new head of an agency. Imagine if the DEA where run by Keith Stroup and John Walters (US Drug Czar) got his pink slip. The president can do more then you think he can. And its not "asking" the DEA to back off, its ORDERING them to back off. The DEA was created in the early 70's via an executive order and can be taken out just the same.Quote:
