11 days and another rooted. Here are the cuttings to be taken Friday or Sat....
Day 12
Another has taken root. Batting 1000. The one that rooted today looks way better than the Jan. 15th.!The other's should have been all together. At least 4 or 5 on the same day. Here are the mothers after giving the bloom 10-60-10,superthrive mix,two days earlier. I'll transplant the ones that are showing roots..Stinky mentioned this and I had never tried it right before I had planned to take cuttings, but I had used the Superthrive, with a 10-10-10. It worked well.As it does now! It's that the 10-60-10-makes them think I'm bout to Flower! Lemme stretch...... There ya go shoots everywhere!:thumbsup:I'm about to take more this weekend and will post progress.
Ga Grown!
Had 2 showing roots today.I'll use a seedling mat next grow.Gotta get 1.They are on the floor near the inlet air. I think that would be an issue as to the length of time they are taking to root.Humidity was not a problem. The dome kept that at a maximum... The soil, and the bottom of the tray they are in, is not as warm as they should be. Outside air is freakin' my room temps out. Mother Nature... I love her!
We are about to get 4 to 5 inches of snow.Humidity in the room will be at an astounding high. I've found that moist, cold air from outside entering your grow space will raise the humidity from 40% to around 60% or more relative humidty.Thats not a good thing unless the room is full of cuttings. Mold grows at 60% humidity. Hydro systems suffer the most! I stick with soil grows.Alot more forgiving! There is a solution for this problem and it is to indroduce warmer intake air.Your central heating system can be used for this reduction.Use a wye to run a flex line from your intake to your ducting.Mix the air.Air circulation is vital.I would use this procedure in the winter only.In hotter months.Remove the conneted wye.You can handle the humidity better in the warmer months than colder.Just some food for thought!
The eyes of Dixie are on this grow Ga......don't let the babies get cold....:D
Damn...it is cold today!
I just got done this early morning installing a wye and a damper. The damper is on the side of the heating duct.I set the damper at 1/4 open to mix with the air from the intake.Just checked the temps and they are right on time! I got that part licked! I'll make ya PROUD,Pimp!:pimp::thumbsup:
I'm about to check on the gurls. I'm going to take somemore cuttings and post progress on the remaining 4. I hope they have rooted.I've never had to wait this long for 9. I've had to wait 12 days at the most for 20. I found the cure, for the long duration. It was the damper.Your soil and water temps will be different from room temperature.
Hey GaGrown looking good!!! had a problem with my five little sprouts growing so slow cause of the cold. Put them under a heating pad and now there taking off. Never thought i would say this but im sick of this cold weather, but hey its better than fighting with heat in the summer.
It was late last night before I could get to the room. When I got there to check on the cuttings progress. I found they had not rooted.I took a skewer(bamboo) and picked around the stem to see if was swollen at all. They were swollen from the hormone, and had knots like it should, but no roots.I did the same to all 4 and only 1 had roots of the 4.The FREAKIN' cold got them. They were lush and green. I did my little project with the damper,to late. I got a heatmat on it's way!!!!!! It's like 12 degrees here now. I've never had to have a mat. Guess what? Now I do. Lights off temps are getting around 48-51.Not happy at all!!!!!!! I'll do some tweakin'........ No pun intended! Here are pics of the poor dead souls!
Gonna transplant the ones that are rooted, today.
