Umm cfl bulbs have mercury in them!!! That's not good...your breathing in poisonous metal
Hello Inspecta,
I hope this grow works for you. You can find a bunch of speaker grow threads in various forums around the net if you want to do a little digging. I recommend looking at them before your grow gets much farther along. I'd try running "marijuana forum speaker grow box" through some search engines and see what comes up. I would also check out the places that sell them and try to see how they are designed. So many bits of advice I could give about the grow, where do I start? You are probably going to want more ventilation, spend as much on venting as you do on lighting, I would have separate veg and bloom speakers, I would use a screen in each speaker, I would do hydro, make sure you have veg and bloom wavelength bulbs, I would...???
After taking a look at some speaker grows, see if you can post more specific questions and I'll do my best to help.
PS, if the seeds aren't growing, maybe they need more warmth.
Yes, hydro = hydroponics in weed forums (at least for me).
I didn't mean "wavelength bulbs", I don't think there is such a thing. "Proper wavelength" referes to the proper color. Bluish for vegging and reddish for budding. Color is determined by a temperature scale in Kelvin. So vegging bulbs are around 5700K and budding bulbs are around 2400K. Ask for them by name (eh, actually by number). I talk about it more and have some charts here: http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-li...cent-info.html
I prefer a screen for most grows, but especially ones that are tight on space. It helps you fill buds into every area where the light is hitting the strongest, instead of letting them have a free for all and not use the light dispersal pattern efficiently. About page 4 and 5 (roughly) of my current grow I talk more about why I think a screen is good: http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-gr...-training.html
Sounds like she ran out of water. One of mine did that recently. She was looking pretty bad, but came back nicely within 12 hours.
Stealth speakers are the shiz dude. Welcome my friend, welcome to the dark side :) :D :wtf:
the only real advice i can give you with the little experience growing i do have is to go lowryder if you can source it, besides the minimal space they need, they flower earlier then the norm plus seem to get better results with fluo' lights then a conventional strain ,
however this is based on what i beleive , EVERYONE TO THEIR OWN :D
Usually height is not the problem in a speaker grow. Correct me if I'm wrong, but width is usually the concern. You could grow 100% sativas in there without a problem.
Lowryder refers to a line of genetics that incorporates Ruderalis in the plant's genetics. (the third type of weed Indica,Sativa, Ruderalis)Quote:
