cloning?
i was just wondering, because i will be taking clones for the first time shortly, i have a rooting hormore and im growing in dirt, i wanted to know, where exactly should i cut ? and will cutting off the leaves/stem for clones damage the plant ? can i put these clones right into dirt ?

Looks like you should read the cloning sticky.
Try to take cuttings from older areas of the plant, or the top of the main growing shoot.
It will not damage your plant, as long as you don't take away more than 1/3 of it. It may look shocked for a few days but it will be OK.
Yes you can put the clones right into dirt. They may even root without using rooting hormone. For best results, use PH 6.66 or so water with a tiny bit of B1 like SuperThrive, PH 6.66 or so dirt with some perlite (20%), use a rooting hormone, scarify the clones (a biggie), and keep them warm and moist, not wet. Water them in good, then not again until the soil is almost dried out, or the plants start to look thirsty.
I highly recommend building yourself a cheopo aerocloner. Much faster, easier, and with better results by far.
