Tom, allow me to put some intelligence your way since nobody else on this board seems to want to.
A gram can look alot of different ways. I usually come across brick weed, it is highly compressed and I've seen pieces that weigh an oz actually set comfortably in my palm.
Yet a while after we came across some nice fluffy buds and I was fucked, used to with the brick I could eyeball no problem but with this stuff I was well under.
Best advice is to take a scale, yeah its risky but if your dealer doesn't have one then you don't want to get ripped off and also most baggies add about .5 grams or so to the weighed so weigh it out of the bag, your buying 1g of weed, not .5 of weed and .5 of a baggie.
