with wiki, who needs google?
i use wikipedia for everything. like there used to be time when i would sort of wonder about something but not be able to figure it out, but now with the internet it never happens. i just use wikipedia. i used to use gogole but it isnt nearly as concise. i dont know if anyone knows what i mean but like whenever something just comes up and kind of bugs you all day not being sure about it, hard to put into words, but with wikipedia it literally never happens any more to me. i just find it out. of course i dont use it as an in depth research tool. it is fairly easy to sort the bad info from the good on wiki as well

i perfectly understand, as it's what i use wiki for...
real life example? watching pirates of the carribean (2nd one) and hearing the word kraken, made me wonder what sorta actual history there is behind the dreaded sea creature... then later on... the flying dutchman...
i use wiki probably once a day atleast... it used to be i'd hear something (like, say 10 years ago) on tv or in a movie and i had no idea what that was, i had two options... 1 ask my grandma, she knew aloooooooooot.. kinda like one of those knowledge sponges... 2nd, just forget about it, somtimes it'd end up coming up again later on (often years) down the line and i'd finally learn... but now... as you said with the internet... i never wonder what something is for more than an hour....

Wiki's good for getting a basic overrun of a subject, but I still use google plenty to find sites that can really tackle the subject in-depth. Google Scholar is a great engine.

Google is nicer if you want to have a broad spectrum of things relating to the subject at hand or you need to find a service on the net. Whereas Wiki is better for information on a specific subject.
lol. this aint true, wiki and the internet is a good source of base information, but you should always check you sources.
i am a wiki abuser i right shit on it all the time.
i know it detracts from the spirit but it makes me piss
