I know! What is up with that man? I couldn't believe some of the answers that were given. I can't count 2 by Mit that was just unacceptable! I personally think Mit and Rudy lost some votes last night. It was kinda fun watching them tear each other apart and then listen to them squirm their way out of it.

epxroot and P4B, couldn't agree with you more! I was so disappointed that the last question was about baseball, my jaw nearly hit the floor.
I gotta say of all candidates, Mitt Romney showed a remarkable degree of cowardice. I don't even have a negative predisoposition toward him, that's the first time I've seen him debate! He danced around every question, so fearful of actually taking a stance on an issue lest he lose a vote.
They asked him if waterboarding is torture/if he would approve if. If he would approve a federal ban on abortion, if he supports allowing gays in the military. All these questions and more and brought out an answer around the lines of "well, I'd consult with the appropriate advisors" "I won't make a judgement on that, I'll let professionals make a judgement on that" etc.
I think my favorite was Anderson asking "Do you look forward to a day when gays and lesbians can serve openly in the military?" and all he would answer was "well, ah, I look forward to consulting my generals on whether or not to allow them in..."
I have a lot more respect for a guy who'll stand by his possitions and make them clear, even if all those possitions are opposite to mine. George Bush, by this standard, is more worthy of respect than this jackass.

"Sanctuary Mansion".....I think ol' Rudy kind of burned himself on that one. Even with the abortion issue....there wasn't a one of the candidates that would give a straight answer. The only real thing they did state is that the doctor should be the one possibly held on murder charges.
I'm NO big fan of his but Mike Huckabee seemed to handle the questions a bit better than the rest. Seems his poll numbers are climbing a bit also......I sure hope this isn't the best that the GOP has to offer.

People need to Vote Ron Paul in the primary to get the people back in power!!

I seen enough to Mitt Romney to know this guy is the biggest bullshitter I ever seen.
I like Huckabee, although a Jesus freak, I was surprised that out of all the candidates, even Ron Paul, he seems to be the most reasonable.
I wish Ron Paul was more involved in the debate. On every point tho, he was very firm with his point, unlike all the other candidates, he was consistent. Ron Paul needs to run as an independent.
How I rated them in the debate:
1. Ron Paul
2. Mike Huckabee
3. Join McCain
4. Fred Thompson
5. Rudy Giuliani
6. Mitt Romney

Why would you want Ron Paul to run as an independant? Just to give him even less of a chance?

He has no chance of being nominated by the republican party. After he isn't nominated, why shouldn't he run on an independent ticket? An independent ticket is what this country needs.

Ron Paul has a great chance of winning the Republican nomination. Why is that people keep saying he has no chance?
Why don't they say that about Tom Tancredo or Duncan Hunter? The reason people keep saying Ron Paul has no chance is because there are so many people talking about him in the first place.

Ron Paul has a more then excellent chance of winning. Voter turnout for presidential primaries have always been low. I believe Ron's supports will come out in force on election day, while almost all other republican candidate supporters will be thinking along the lines of "I don't need to vote, my guy will win!". The main spotlight of this primary seems to be focused on the Dem's, Hillary in particular. This could also help Ron simply because people do not like her and may go vote Obama just to keep her out. No one expected Carter to win in the 70's polling at 1% or Clinton in the 90's with 2%. IMO if turnout remains lowish this year, highly eager Ron Paul supporters could easily steal this election rom the republicans(trojan horse style!).
I do also expect to see a strong showing not only for Ron but Huckabee as well.
