I have hiked about 50% of the AT most of the time i had a 36 pound pack. One time i hiked for a week with just 17 pounds it was the most fun i had ever had. When i was a kid my dad use to say "Ounces equal pounds and pounds equal pain." I always think about that when i go to pack my bag now.Quote:
