You're not a hater Ozarks, you're 100% right. I don't know if it reflects your opinion, but I admire this man hugely and think he's one of the bravest soldiers I've ever heard of. I expect he'll do just that when and if he's caught.

I think one point he made, particularily worth taking note of, us how he discovered that the Iraqi's didn't hate him for being free, and in fact welcomed him into their house (as often happens). "Hate our freedom", give me a break! Who could be foolish enough to believe that alone could be the sole, or even primary cause, of why this whole conflict is happening?

I think its someone who knows what hes talking about and has the balls to stand up and say it, and hes right, being a patriot is dissent, thats what America was founded on, dissent from the governing regime to make a better government for the people.

first let me say i am against this war
now this guy needs to be hung like the deserter he is. you never under any cicumstance leave yor buddies. because of him not watching someone elses back his buddies could have paid with their lives. and before anyone accuses me of bein an "arm chair warrior" i did serve 3rd infantry 4-66 armour i was on an m1 tank. you never let your buddies down. like he said he singed up of his own free will.
he may object to the war but there are other avenues than just up and leaving. he disgraces every soldier that has paid the ultimate sacrifice for an unjust war. he also disgraces every man or woman who has had the guts to put on the uniform past and present.
