I'm ready to pick my bud, how long and what is the best way to cure it?
I'm on the same side that Reaper is... I have jsut finished a month of slow curing and it looks awesome. I dry for 1-2 weeks until the stem snaps (not bends), then put in an airtight mason jar for th eremainder of the month. Open at least 2-3 times a day for a few minutes and you will be handsomely rewarded approx 1 month after harvest.

I tried water curing and the taste that I LOVE was gone and replaced with some other taste. I'd rather my weed taste like weed. :rasta::D
Other than that, water curing is a quick way to get your bud to a smokable place. Try it once, AT LEAST.

Another good storage device on the cheap can be bought at 99 cent store or wal mart, is the candle jar. If you can find them empty, thats great for 99 cents! At Walmart, you may have to buy the whole candle for a couple of bucks. Melt the candle, clean it and use for bud storage. They have a vinyl-rubber like seal that makes it airtight. Store your newly harvested bud in these in a dark area for a couple of months and you will have yourself some nicely cured cannabis!

One other remark. Once the bud is dry enough to go into the jar 'burping' should be done when or where the relative humidity is low. If you have nice dry herb and burp for 10 minutes on a rainy day your herb is now moist again.
