It's funny that you mention the Oyster card, as I just came into London a couple days ago and got one for the week. I can't drive here, so I'm grateful for such an extensive public transportation system.

About 5 years ago. I don't commute too often. With gas hitting $4.00 this Winter, I'm contemplating buying a reliable bicycle. :D

Not true. Ive been on the bus frome everywhere as far as spring/woodlands, cypress, katy, jacinto city and humble.. thats ALL over houston and beyond.. i live about 6 minutes from downtown.. if you live IN houston, not around it, esp from downtown, u can get pretty much anywhere. I took the bus this morning, went to BigLots.. got blowed first.. left a couple of min b4 it was time for it to come, music blasting, rolling stone under my arm, and my water.. i have a fuckin ball on the bus.. hadnt been on one in a while ..Quote:

And a few weeks ago I was in Atlanta with a friend and we rode the Marta just for fun & people watching one afternoon.
But I rarely use public transportation, I need a car for everywhere i go except for games cause it is so nice to not pay parking and fight traffic and walk 10 blocks when its cold.
